How to play Memory Match
- Sixteen cards lie face down, hiding eight matching pairs.
- On your turn, flip two cards. If they match, the pair is yours and you go again.
- If they don't match, both stay face up until the next card is turned, then flip back — and it is the other player's turn.
- When every pair has been found, whoever collected more pairs wins.
How to play with a friend
- Tap “Play with a friend” above. RoomDrift opens a Memory Match game and gives you a six-character code.
- Send the code or the invite link to your friend — any messaging app works.
- Play. The game starts the moment they join, with a chat beside the board.
Tips to win
- Watch every flip. Your opponent's misses show you where cards are just as much as yours do.
- Flip an unknown card first. If it matches a card you have already seen, you can take the pair; if not, you've learned something new.
- Don't give pairs away. If you have no match, think before turning a second card your opponent can use.
Questions
Is this the same game as Concentration?
Yes — Memory Match is also called Concentration, Pairs or Pexeso. The rules are the classic ones.
Can my opponent cheat by looking at the cards?
No. The server only ever sends a card's face once it has been turned over, so the layout can't be read out of the app.
How do I play with a friend?
Choose Play with friends, share the code or link, and the cards are dealt as soon as your friend joins.
No sign-up, no download — Memory Match starts in your browser.
